Common Chevy Tahoe Problems
Chevy Tahoes have been recalled for power train/driveshaft failure, failed fuel systems that cause the vehicle to stall, compromised braking performance, the loss of power steering, electrical problems, an increased risk of fire, and several issues related to airbags and seatbelts.
Many of these problems are life-threatening, so if you have gone in for the same repair twice, you can fast-track a lemon law claim.
Our Chevy Tahoe lemon law attorneys can help.
Is My Chevy Tahoe a Lemon?
Under the California Lemon Law, you are entitled to a refund or replacement if you take your car to the mechanic or manufacturer 4 or more times for the same issue – or 2 or more times for a life-threatening issue.
You can also qualify for consumer protection under the California Lemon Law if your car has been in the shop for more than 30 days since you purchased it. The 30 days do not have to be consecutive, so make sure to document every visit to your mechanic or manufacturer – even if you just take the car to the shop for a quick fix.
If the dealer (in this case General Motors) fails to fix your vehicle within a “reasonable” number of attempts, they will be legally required to buy back your vehicle or give you a replacement.
Dealers are not always willing to do this, so CA Lemon Law Firm occasionally steps in to make sure General Motors (and other dealers) are obeying the law.
If you are having trouble working with General Motors on your Chevy Tahoe refund or replacement, do not hesitate to contact our firm.
